Women Empowerment

Women Empowerment’ has been the buzzword in the recent times. What does it actually mean? Is it about Gender equality (or)Women’s financial independence (or) Bright & safe future for the young girls (or) Women’s confidence level?  Today ,when women has been seen walking alongside men in all phases of life, striking a perfect work- life balance with remarkable ease,  no one can stop this world from becoming a great place to live in .
Empowering a woman means celebrating the beauty of being a women by letting her live life the way she wishes to ,by giving her unconditional access to the basic rights like right to education, right to live life with dignity & respect, right to safe & secure environment , improving her social, economic  & legal strength and making her competent enough of making her own decisions.
Empowering a woman is a process of transforming an individual’s attitude from  ‘I can’t ‘ to ‘I can’.
    Importance:
1.Preserving Nature’s Balance: With the consistent increase in the horrific violence of  brutal rapes , female genocide ,etc, there is a considerable dearth of female force and hence there is need to provide women with a safe atmosphere at school , work etc
2.Socio Economic Growth: Around 50% of the world ‘s population constitutes of female and most of them being unemployed! This leads to their talent & skill getting wasted affecting the overall development of the society.
3.Reduction in Poverty: Literate and Independent working women, apart from contributing to the national income of the country, can also lend a helping hand to their family leading to upliftment of living standards.
4.Reduction in Domestic Violence: Literate women can also safeguard themselves against any atrocities by knowing their rights and being able to defend themselves.

‘Empower woman , empower human community. The base on which the world stands is a women’.
                                                              Happy International Women’s Day.
